Disability Access

The fully accessible two storey Gallery is located in the centre of Conwy just off the High Street behind Plas Mawr.
A platform lift gives access to the first floor.

Parking & Taxi's

Pay and display car parking available at the Castle or on Mount Pleasant Road. Both about 300m away.
Unfortunately no disabled parking nearby.
Visitors may be dropped off outside the gallery on Crown Lane which is a very quiet road or 1 parking space is available immediately outside. Please contact the gallery for further details.

Taxi rank situated on Lancaster Square at the end of the High Street next to Bangor Road.

Trains

The nearest train station is at Llandudno Junction, 3km from the Gallery and served by the North Wales Coast route. Services run approximately hourly throughout the week. Some trains stop at Conwy itself by request during the summer. The station is a 10 minute walk through the town to the gallery - please check timetables.

Bus

The Arriva Cymru (service 5) bus stop is 200m away from the gallery on Bangor Road and runs at 30 minute intervals on weekdays and hourly on Sundays.

Portable hearing loop available on request.
Some staff trained in disability awareness.
Unisex disabled toilet on ground floor.
Baby changing facilities available.
Also unisex toilet on first floor.
Large format and Braille labels provided for merchandise.
Large print versions of catalogue available on request.
Platform lift to first floor. Please ask member of staff to operate lift.

General Facilities

There is no café on site but teas and coffees may be purchased from reception. 
Small sales area in foyer selling cards, books and prints. 
There are no formal guided tours but staff are very happy to give informal talks and information, particularly for educational visits, preferably pre-arranged.

The Buidling

Level access manual entrance door, 115cm opening. Doorbell for access on right hand side.
Two storey building.
Both floors level throughout.
Three steps up to coat rail and emergency exit at rear.
