The Friends of the RCA run a lively range of events. Most lectures begin at 7.30pm and cost £3 to both Friends and guests unless otherwise stated. Please contact:

Wednesday April 9th, 7.30pm AGM at the RCA Gallery in Conwy.

Friday April 25th - Shape and Colour in the Built Environment 1150 - 1800. An illustrated talk by Simon Simcox who gave the Friends an inspirational lecture on Historical and Hidden building in the Landscape

Friday May 23rd - The Keating sisters of Plas yn Rhiw a talk by Mary Thomas of the National Trust. The Keating sisters lovingly restored this charming small manor house in the 1930's. They were partrons of the arts and Honora Keating was also a landscape artist

Weekend of June 14th - 15th, Betws y Coed - Snowdonia Art Festival based around The Royal Oak an event will be organised by the Friends during this weekend. Details to follow

Mussel-fishing Industry in Conwy

As part of the ongoing Stori Conwy project, stories and photographs of those involved in the mussel fishing industry are being collated for a booklet and audio trail. If you feel you could help in any way, please contact Liz Ashworth (01248681394) for further details. 

On completion, the Friends hope to invite Liz Ashworth to speak about her latest project
