Friends of the RCA > Friends programme

NEW
events for Spring and early summer 2015

The Friends of the RCA run a lively range of events. Most events begin at 7.30pm and cost £3 to both Friends and guests unless otherwise stated.

Saturday, February 28th - 2.00pm - Cream Tea at the Waterloo Hotel, Betws y Coed - This has now become an annual event and seems to be gaining in popularity. Please bring along a favourite work of art and tell us about it - it doesn't have to be a painting. Invite a friend who enjoys art and cream teas. Cost £5 inclusive of the tea.

Friday, March 20th 7.30pm - A demonstration in loose watercolour by Andrew Jenkin. Andrew is an artist, author and illustrator and a member of the Friends.

Wednesday, April 29th 7.30pm - AGM at the RCA followed by a presentation by the President Jeremy Yates. Jeremy gave us an entertaining presentation last year so we can look forward to another interesting evening. We need your presence at the AGM but we promise to make it snappy!

Friday, May 29th 7.30pm - A presentation and demonstration by figurative sculptor Peter Barnes.

Saturday, May 2nd - A visit to the National Library at Aberystwyth. A tour and talk by Paul Joyner, Head of Purchasing and Donations. We will organise a mini bus to Aberystwyth. Please contact Alison on 01690 720218 for more details.

Friday, June 26th 7.30pm - Flowers & Music - entertainment for a summer evening.

All talks are at the gallery, admission £3, and begin at 7.30 unless otherwise advertised. Please spread the word by emailing your friends who are interested in art
