How to become a Member

Artists may apply to become academicians in September each year.

The artist must submit no more than 20 images on CD Rom or Slides for consideration at the Council meeting. If successful at this stage the artist will be asked to bring in original pieces of work to be seen at the Annual General Meeting in April. The artist then requires 50% of the vote to be elected a member. One or two artists generally become Academicians in this way each year.

There is a small administration charge which is non-refundable. There are no formal selection criteria it is simply a matter of being successful at the voting stage and staff are therefore unable to give feedback.
