Our Staff

Visitors to the Gallery always comment on the warm welcome they receive from gallery staff. Here are some of the people you will meet when you visit.

Gill Bird Curator

Gill Bird has been at the Royal Cambrian Academy since 1999, Curator since 2004. Gill has an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a degree in History. Having previously worked at the National Gallery in London Gill loves working at the RCA, particularly the opening of the Annual Summer Exhibition and the Saturday Art Clubs. She is responsible for organising the exhibitions and the day to day running of the Gallery.

Eleri Jones RCA Education Officer

Eleri Jones RCA is a successful artist and workshop provider. The Royal Cambrian Academy was lucky enough to employ her as Education Officer in 2006. Eleri has a degree in Fine Art and Post Graduate Certificate of Education.

David Huntington Exhibition Officer

David Huntington has been at the Royal Cambrian Academy since it moved in to its new premisis in 1992 having formerly been Exhibition Technician at Oriel Mostyn. David also works part time at Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery in Bangor and what he doesn't know about putting up exhibitions isn't worth knowing!
