'Having trained and practised as an architect, it is natural that the built environment should figure large in my output of drawings, paintings and etchings.Although, my early work was almost exclusively abstract. My approach to my work is intuitive and empirical. It is topographical and therefore needs little intellectual explanation. There is, however, no formula — each work being an experiment with the medium and with the interpretation of the subject. Inevitably, some serials do occur. I am fascinated by the pattems created by buildings (mostly) and of the world around me, and through my work, hopefully, help others to see it as I do. Although my work in different media appears to come from different hands, I can assure viewers that it comes from painstaking experimentation with the particular medium. Of course, my work doesn’t appeal to everyone. For those, as they say on the tele’, look away now. For the others — enjoy!'
